DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT SERVICES:
Hair loss may be also defined as renewal of the hair by itself. Loss of 80-100 hair strands per day may be considered normal hair loss. Daily hair loss in excess of this amount is not normal, and should be treated. In cases where loss of hair continues despite medical treatments applied, the only and permanent solution for hair restoration is hair transplantation.
HAIR TRANSPLANTATION METHODS
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
Follicular Unit Transplantation is an advanced hair restoration technique implemented by selected hair clinics of the world. Using this technique, a strip of scalp is extracted from the donor area with existing, healthy hair on the back of the head; cut into multiple individual follicular units containing 1, 2, 3 or 4 hair grafts using microscopic dissection techniques; and subsequently transplanted into areas with thinning, or complete loss of hair.
The donor area on the back of the head, from where the hair is taken, is closed using plastic and reconstructive surgery methods. This allows minimizing the scar on the back of your head, which is only visible if you completely shave your head. The stitches are removed in 12 to 15 days following the operation.
During the implantation process of the prepared hair grafts, arrangement of grafts, the hair line to be applied and maintaining coherence with the growth direction of existing hair can only be designed by an experienced specialist. The difference between a natural-looking hair transplantation and an unsuccessful hair transplantation result lies truly in the artistic skills of the specialist performing the procedure.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method involves extraction of individual follicular units from the back of the head or other parts of the body using special fine needles, and transplantation of the same to areas with thinning or complete loss of hair. As the technique is performed without stitches, there is no scarring to be concerned about.
Correctly implemented FUT and FUE techniques yield similar results. Both methods provide natural-looking outcomes, provided that the hair line is correctly prepared by correctly directing the hair.
