Joint Commision International (JCI) Accreditation
Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation is an evaluation model which has been internationally accepted and has the highest recognition. It performs independent assessment audits to determine whether the health organizations meet the standard requirements that have been introduced to increase the quality of care. It has accredited more than 800 health institutions from 68 countries. JCI standards addresses the topics like patient safety targets, accessing the healthcare and continuity of the healthcare, rights of the patients and their relatives, evaluation and care of the patients, anesthesia and surgical care, use of medicines, training of the patients and their relatives under the group of patient-oriented standards. It also evaluates the topic like improving the quality and patient safety, preventing and controlling the infections, administration, leadership and guidance, facility management and safety, qualifications and training of the employees and information management within the context of management standards of healthcare institutions. Among Acibadem Healthcare Group hospitals, Acibadem Adana Hospital (since 25 September 2010) and Acibadem Maslak Hospital (since 2 October 2010) are JCI accredited.
All units of Acıbadem laboratories have been accredited by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie (DACH) since 2005 and by Türk Akreditasyon Kurumu (TÜRKAK) since 2010 in accordance with the TSE EN ISO 15189. Accreditation of the laboratories is recognised by all countries which are members of ILAC, since TÜRKAK is a party to International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation’s (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).
Nuclear Medicine Europe Accreditation
In Europe, the Nuclear Medicine Centers are accredited by the European Board of Nuclear Medicine (EBNM) under European Union of Medical Specialists. The Nuclear Medicine Department of Acıbadem Bursa Hospital is accredited. Additionally, the Nuclear Medicine Departments at Acıbadem Kadıköy Hospital, Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital, Acıbadem Bursa Hospital and Acıbadem International Hospital hold ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification.
